Something a little different for your Friday listening pleasure – former Walrus “band to watch” Best Friends are back with their next release in Hawaii 666. It’s 7 minutes of distorted surfer rock full of echoed screams and Officer Crisp laying down the law to the undead.
Hawaii 666 is being released as a free download (below) or on a physical CDR in the customised Pizza Box by our friends at Art is Hard Records. Yup.
Who’s having a Halloween party with a psycho beach party theme then?

Best Friends (facebook/twitter) are a garage surf-pop band from Sheffield and write fuzzy, happy tunes that just make you want to dance around like an idiot – I couldn’t think of a better way to start the week.
The fine folk at Art Is Hard Records are putting out the band’s second EP, Throwing Up, next month, but lucky for us the whole thing is streaming on their Bandcamp right now, and I’ve embedded it below for your aural pleasure. Their debut EP was pretty damn amazing, and this starts from where that left off. Oh and if you’re grabbing the physical copy, then it’s coming wrapped in pretty cool sounding photographic coffee-table book.
Best friends party hard.
