I’ve been sitting on talking about this four-piece from Southend-on-Sea for a few weeks, hoping to get an mp3 cleared to post, and here we have two. Perfectly Fine Intellectual (video below) is Redtrack‘s fourth single to be released prior to their debut full length Whole Town’s Heart dropping on August 12th on Fandango (a previously singles-only offshoot of the wonderful Fierce Panda).

They produce catchy, danceable pop-punk with tight drums and new-wave riffs and have appeared on Hollyoaks – but there’s no reason to hold that against them. There are enough pop melodies in there to keep anyone happy, but there’s also enough bite and drive to keep those of us of a more indie persuasion dancing.
