Bands to watch: Blood Oranges

“You are perfect, so real” and I’m in love. There’s little more to say on the subject of when I first wrapped my ears the boy-girl duets of Blood Oranges. You can hear some similarities with Los Campesinos and The Wedding Present in this Leeds based four-piece, but I can’t get over the fact that they sound like what I wished Voxtrot would become.

Catchy tales of indie-pop amor with close friends in This Is Not About Kat or those further away in The French Word For Love, but always exploring heartfelt joy and wonder.
