The sound is a grungey spectral pop distorted through an effects box filled with smoke and sequins. Or as McGarrigle describes it as “pop sensibility of ELO, the grunge riffs of early Nirvana, the care-free adolescence of Loser-era Beck and the lo-fi production of Ariel Pink”. Either way it’s pretty special and his debut EP Teen Jamz will be released in about six weeks time on limited edition purple vinyl.
