Back in 2009 we put together a mixtape here on the Walrus called “The Darker Side Of Synths” which highlighted the move towards a darker electronic sound was developing, a sound that embraced industrial but also the subtlety of production. Labyrinth Ear (facebook/twitter), a couple of young Londoners, have made this sound their own.
Their latest track, Urchin, is a hypnotic, mesmerising bassline and the enchanting vocals work their way into your soul. Post-apocalyptic pleasure.
