Bands to watch: Luke Sital-Singh

Luke Sital-Singh

Things are looking promising for the captivating young London based singer songwriter Luke Sital-Singh following the release of his debut EP ‘Fail For You’ earlier this year. The four track EP has garnered much critical acclaim, caught the attention of BBC introducing and is ever present on the blogosphere. Singh has also been making waves on the live circuit having supported the likes of Fossil Collective and The Staves, and heads off on his first ever UK headline tour next month.

It is simplicity that defines the talented songsmith and gives his music a rare sense of originality, with every well thought out syllable, note and vocal harmony stroking the senses and evoking pure raw emotion as the very first note is struck.

Taking influence from the likes of Neil Young and Damian Rice, Luke Sital-Singh demonstrates his ability as a credible songwriter to take the listener on a roller coaster ride in ‘I Have Been a Fire’ dropping in and out of heart stopping crescendos whilst once again keeping it musically simple, there are no gimmicks or layers upon layers of instrumentation here; just one man bearing his soul to some delicately finger picked guitar work which gives the track a real feeling of authenticity.
