Woman’s Hour – Dancing in the Dark

Woman's Hour - Dancing in the Dark

Now I’ve never been able to get into The Boss – I don’t know if that’s a generational thing or just he manages to hit any of my buttons. Or maybe I just think I don’t like him, so I never give his songs a chance. Or maybe it’s his “Dad-dance moves” that freak me out.

Anyway, that is my excuse for managing not to recognise Woman’s Hour‘s Dancing in the Dark as a Springsteen cover at first listen – but that did give me the opportunity to hear it for the first time as something new, and just like everything else that has come out of the band so far I loved it. It’s slow, emotive, and the rich soundscapes just wash over you.
