Just 24 hours after the release of the BBC’s Sound of 2014 list, comes the alternative Blog Sound of 2014 long list, and yes I was involved again.

The list was organised by Robin of Breaking More Waves, who invited 59 of the UK finest music bloggers to pick three bands or artists thath are exciting them at the moment. Among the final list of 16 are Banks, Honeyblood, Hella Better Dancer, Wolf Alice and Marika Hackman.

Unlike in the BBC poll, none of my three picks made the long list this year (although some of the acts were very close to my top three), but that just means that tomorrow you’ll be getting my personal top five picks for 2014 as they obviously aren;t getting enough airtime in the polls…
