Sam Smith has won the BBC’s Sound of 2014 poll, and after already having the fifth biggest selling single in the UK in 2013 with LA La La, his collaboration with Naughty Boy, 2014 is looking huge for the 21-year-old.
I’m a little sad that Jungle didn’t do better and make the top five this year (none of my other votes even made the long list), all those that did deserve big things this year – and its the first time all acts have been solo artists, which has certainly been a trend over the last 12 months.
