We’ve got something little different for you all today from La Priest, a name we haven’t seen since he did a 7″ on Erol Alkan’s Phantasy label back in 2007, which is forever ago.
La Priest is Sam Dust, formerly of Late of the Pier, a man that has always had a sound all to himself, and that is never more true than on Oino. It’s a truly imaginative cosmic mix of electro, funk, and prog rock that seems to suit someone who’s spent years in Greenland, studying the effects of the Ivittuut region’s electro-magnetic phenomena on recorded sound.
