The Living Gods Of Haiti – The Hunt, The Harvest, The Sea (premiere)

The Living Gods Of Haiti

Today, we’re been lucky enough to have the premier of the first video from The Living Gods Of Haiti, a duo featuring London-based half-Syrian poet and film-maker Rebekah Dobbins and French producer Marc Collin, who was behind the Nouvelle Vague project.

The Hunt, The Harvest, The Sea is dark and atmospheric electronica, with tight percussion and a sinister bassline that pulsate beneath Dobbins’ seductive vocals.

The video, written and directed by Dobbins, is a looping story of the jewels of the sea, a woman washed up on shore, saviours and lonely desperation – a short film that feels like the origin story or creation myth.

The Living Gods Of Haiti will be playing their debut live performance on 9th November at St Leonard Church in Shoreditch in an evening of live music, poetry, and sacred dance.

The Hunt, The Harvest, The Sea is taken from The Living Gods Of Haiti’s debut EP Run Back To Never, which is out now on Kwaidan records
