July’s sold-out Hopscotch show was MusicWeek’s “gig of the week”, and August’s lineup is looking just as stellar with Laurel headlining the show at London’s The Social on 16th August.

Southampton’s Laurel has only got a couple of tracks to her name, but is already making waves, with friends describing her as “breathtakingly accomplished” and “one of a kind“, and being B3Science‘s song of the week. And the praise is very much due, with her soulful, slightly croaky voice and lo-fi minimalist folk blues song-writing sounding like nothing else right now.

We’ve got some very special guests to announce in the coming days, but if the tickets sales from the show this Tuesday are anything to go by – better snap them up quickly.
