I have just finished my latest web design project, so have some time to put up part seven of the Snazzy series which includes some new bands and some new tracks from some more established.
We start off with some good old fashioned rock from Motocade that offer some driving beats, solid riffs and a chorus that will stick in your head coming to us all the way from New Zealand.
Ellewood produce music that reminds me of my school days sounding a little like the good end of britpop.
Nom de Guerre is some more catchy rock from Scandinavia with harmonies and las throughout.
The Wombats have been a favourite of mine for a good few months now and it seems like they are going to start receiving nationwide love as they release a new record with proper distribution, and the first single coming out in April.
The Good Shoes have been waiting in the wings for a few months with some devoted fans and from my first few listens of their debut album it will have been worth the wait. Idon’t really know what genre I would place them in apart from the vocals on occasion sound a bit like Larrikin Love which is only a good thing in my opinion.
You Say Party We Say Die! may have a long and a bit shit name, but that doesn’t stop their music being catchy as all hell with fast paced drums and melodies that just force you to get up and dance.
YACHT are slightly more electronic or experimental than what I normally get into, but play this loud while on a comedown after the night out and you’ll understand.
The mix ends with some electronic beauty from Holy Hail with the help of a Shir Khan Remix that steals your soul with its growls, squelches and beeps.
