The Shimmer have made a big splash over the past couple of months with more and more people loving their driving electro pop, and they have not been sitting on their hands whilst getting all this praise. They’ve been writing new material for their upcoming first live show and debut single on the increasingly influential Hit Club shortly.
And yes we have another mp3 to share, this one a little heavier electro-pop, but still just as fucking fantastic. I for one cannot wait until they show us their abilities on a live stage because it could be very very impressive. Not long to go now.

Not really feeling this new track but I think they’ve still got plenty in the locker. I did get confused though when one of your ads started playing The Killers at about 25 bpm! I eventually figured out what was going on…
Oops. I’ve been trying to block those ads, but going through every ad one by one is getting tiresome. I’ll try and find a better fix.
Hey! How are you doing?
I’m writing in the name of a Brazilian indie-rock band called Single Parents (http://www.myspace.com/thesingleparents). Their debut EP was released on January with four tracks and it’s titled “Could You Explain?”. You can get a free download of it here: http://www.mediafire.com/?1jnzid1izfi
The group is now heading to the US, where they are performing in five venues around New York: Arlene’s Grocery (20 – April), Bar Nine (21), Lit Lounge (22), Pianos (24) and Trash Bar (26).
It’s really important for us to have some notes in American blogs and sites about this little tour, mainly because it will be the first time Single Parents will be playing in the country.
Please, would you help us on that?
Thanks a lot
Cheers,
Alex.
Alex,
All our contributors are UK based I’m afraid so I don’t think we can be much help with New York organising I’m afraid. Good luck with the tour though.
