Some more sonic delights coming out of Manchester today with The Heartbreaks. Everything Everything and Egyptian Hip Hop may be taking up the column inches at the moment, but with a sound that you can’t describe without a brief foray into The Smiths’ back catalogue, The Heartbreaks should be getting plenty of airplay.
There’s a knowing swagger, soaring and swooning vocals, and enough pop hooks that means we will look back at these four in years to come as the bright and beautiful youth. The single I Didn’t Think It Would Hurt To Think Of You is out now on Giant Haystacks / Label Fandango

So what would you prefer people listened to these days then?
There’s always room for good new music for me, but each to their own I suppose.
I’ve never actually seen these guys play but can’t imagine it would be my thing. However due to mutual friends we always party together whenever they come to London and I can say they always get naked.
