We’re big fans of Rough Trade here at The Blue Walrus for their stocking of all our favourite music and the frankly phenomenal in-store gigs they offer – it’s what a record store should be. And today we’re offering a 6-month subscription to their Album Club to our lovely readers from anywhere in the world (yup anywhere!).
To enter all you have to do is follow us on Twitter, like us on Facebook, and/or just comment below and let us know your favourite song related to that dark arts of winning at the track and if you want multiple entries then go for all three options above, but no Lady Gaga please.
That’s it. The competition closes on 1st August at midday when we pick the name out of a hat so get your entries in soon.

Please could I go for ‘My Lovely Horse’ by Neil Hannon of The Divine Comedy please. For not only is it a Father Ted banger, but also what I affectionately know all nags who bag me a winning slip as… I thank you.
Jack Alcopop!
Well it’s got to be The Ace of Spades, but when I was a kid I always liked the song Spanish Train by Chris de Burgh, I liked the idea of the devil and God playing games to win the souls of the dead (I was an odd child)
It has to be The House of the Rising Sun…. ‘there is a house in New Orleans’……I love it! . When I was little there was a pub along the road from my house that was called the Rising Sun and I always thought The Animals were singing about that!
Kiss – Russian Roulette
Heartattack and Vine – Gamblers re-evaluate along the dotted line.
“Rambling, Gambling Willie” by Bob Dylan – Easy beans
