Our friends at Smugglers Records (facebook/twitter) are putting on a festival this year on the first weekend of September showcasing some amazing folk talents who are currently swimming just under the radar – acts such as Cocos Lovers, Will Varley, Syd Arthur, and The Remains of Johnny Cash. And they’ve been kind enough to offer Blue Walrus readers a pair of weekend tickets (with parking) along with a few CDs from the likes of Cocos Lovers, Will Varley and Syd Arthur.
If you want to experience an intimate festival with a real village atmosphere and discover some fantastic new bands, all with tasting a little of the smuggled beer and cider, then get yourself along. The line-up is below.
The Competition
To enter all you have to do is like Smugglers Records on Facebook, and write on their wall what your name would be if you were a smuggler/bootlegger back in the day. Get your thinking eye-patch on.
This competition is only open to those with UK addresses I’m afraid and if you enter make sure you’re free to go to the festival (2nd-4th September). This competition closes on 17/08/2011 at midday.
