Every year we give ourselves resolutions for the new year – be more productive, get fit, see more live music, spend longer appreciating full albums, etc… Well today we’re giving away an iPod Shuffle to help you make good on two of those promises – fill it up with a few albums and get running. Not bad eh?
To enter, all you have to do is:
1) Be from the UK (sorry rest of the world)
2) Head on over to our Facebook page, like it and comment with your musical resolution for 2012. And if you want a second entry then get on over and follow us on Twitter and tell us there!
I’ll pick the winners at midday on 20/01/2011 (next Friday).
I’m personally planning on spending more time just listening and taking in more albums, and then get to work on putting on some more live shows for you lovely people. And maybe start a record label. Maybe. But I seem to have said that every years since 2008 and have yet to actually get it done.
On the playing front I hope to be able to get some recording done with fellow TBW writer Hamish and our other bandmates, and then get to work doing some remixes as my electronica alter-ego – on that front I have something very exciting lined up in the next month or so.
Now I’ve publicly stated all this, it should probably push me to actually fulfilling more of it. We’ll see…
And here’s Bombay Bicycle Club’s Shuffle for good measure:
My new years resolution is to stop making new years resolutions ;o)
oh, and to win an iPod for my daughter :)
music reasolutions would be to go to as many gigs as i can x
My music resolution for 2012 is to listen to more ‘small’ bands and to go to their concerts instead of paying money for overpriced tickets for concerts at the O2 arena.
my resolution is to stop apologising for my choice of music. So what if others don’t like it…the world would be a sad place if we all liked the same things :-) Liked on facebook as Sue Willshee
