There’s a new record label around that is the brainchild of people involved in Sony Music and Raw Power Management, and the fact alone that the Iggy and the Stooges-referencing Search and Destroy has added hotly-tipped Bedford alt-rock quartet Don Broco [Twitter/Facebook] (who have long been favourites of mine) to its roster is cause for celebration, mainly because the forthcoming album now has a home, not to mention a release date of August 13th. It’s as yet untitled, but the lead single will be released on May 20th, so we’ll have news on that as soon as we get it. The other addition to the label (just two acts have been signed so far, but it’s an excellent start) is Sheffield hardcore merchants While She Sleeps [Twitter/Facebook]. The band were impressive as support for New Found Glory and The Blackout on the Kerrang! Relentless Energy Tour last month, and now there is an album in the can. It’s ready to go in ‘late Summer 2012’; that’s all we’ve got on that one for now. If you’re so inclined, you can check out some material from both bands below. Are we excited about this? Definitely.
