Every time Cascine releases something onto the world you know that you’re going to get all starry eyed about the bliss-filled sonics coming from your stereo – and with the latest release from World Tour (facebook) they have outdone themselves.

From the first soft notes of Into The Woods you are lost in the Swedish duo’s glistening wonderland. They craft atmosphere with harmonies, soaring synth-lines, and beautiful crescendos. Too Far is a little sunnier with what sound a lot like steel drums layering behind the smooth vocals, giving a vibe of summer dancing in slow motion.

Believe is still as beautiful and fragile with that techno edge as when I first heard it, and See closes the record with a tune of daybreak, of when the sun spreads its wings across the cityscape and the world wakes from its slumber.

For 18 minutes the band straddles sunny Balearic beats and a frozen landscape and its heart-meltingly beautiful. Swoon.
