Torches (facebook/twitter) were one of our bands to watch back in February with their blend of heady pop noir and grandoise vocals. And the London band are back with Sky Blue & Ivory – all thumping drums, guitar stabs, and vocals desperation before they let themselves free as the chant “I can hear and echo in your voice” hypnotises and engulfs. Powerful yet fragile.
