It’s been a while since I last wrote about Tea Leigh, but in those intervening months playing SoundCloud sponsored showcases and now partnering up with Luke Reed to produce more wondrous dream-pop (bandcamp).
The first track we heard from the pair, Rivers of Love, is sublime and soft-focused and has a future Cascine release written all over it. Then Do You Sleep runs away with your cloud-set dreams. In the last couple of weeks, however, they have released Color Theory, a truly beguiling pop gem – a song that these two were designed to make: a synth wizard and a voice that kisses and caresses.
The duo have an album on the way this autumn and we’ll also be treated to some new folk-tinged material from Tea Leigh on her own about then as well. It’s going to be a good season.
How could you not fall in love with these two?
