A little known fact about me here on the interwebs, is that my Masters thesis at university was on the witch hunts right here in the UK. It is unsurprising then that when someone like Anna picks up a band called Witch Hunt that it grabs my attention. Luckily for everyone, however, they are far more than an ex excellent name – the girl/boy duo make deliciously punk-influenced folk and blues.

They can go from the folkish charms of Basements, to the mesmerising, cult-esque Crawl to The Kills-like energy of Chairman – it is always simply stunning.

Chairman will be released on December 3rd on Dead Young Records.
