Following on from last year’s Haze, the new track from Manchester’s Oceaán is wonderfully smooth and soulful. Need U is punctuated with sparse beats and an affecting vocal that is reminiscent of James Blake at his best. There is the almost no information about who Oceaan actually is, although we do know that it’s a one man project from the North West. But as long as he/she/it keeps pumping out tunes as good as this, we don’t care.
