Working between London and their native Sunderland, Let’s Away recently released their debut single following a series of well received demos and live videos (some of which are still available at their website). It’s a AA side titled ‘Suitably Loose/You & I’ and it’s available on their Bandcamp page for your selected price now. Despite barely performing live in their year or so existence and seemingly having an ever-changing lineup, Let’s Away prosper in the studio and this single is a perfect example of that. Suitably Loose sits somewhere inbetween Chris Isaac’s Wicked Game and an early Interpol styled song whereas You & I is much more melancholic and beautiful with its gentle vocals, heartfelt lyrics and dreamy harmonies. We want to see much more from this elusive band and fast.
