Låpsley may confuse some with the angstrom in her name, but the Liverpool-based electronic songstress has little to do with our Scandinavian neighbours.
Much more important than her familial roots, however, is that fact that at only 17 she has produced a handful of simply stunning tracks that range from the stripped back modern R&B influenced Station to more recently the utterly sublime Painter (valentine) that could make a grown man cry.
Not one to rest on her laurels, Låpsley has also worked with a number of up-and-coming producers like BABEL for some more upbeat tracks, where her voice sits soulfully atop some acid jazz house.
