After another successful show last week, we’re thrilled to announce the lineup for next month’s Hopscotch, where we’ve got the rather fine sounds of Pleasure Beach, Trudy, and Tibet ready to grace your ears at London’s The Social on Tuesday 17th May.
Belfast-based dreampop outfit Pleasure Beach have seen a swift rise from rehearsal room to playing some of the most influential stages and getting everyone’s attention. And this is down to the eternal summer of the five-piece’s sound, with tracks that can bring a smile to even the most jaded hearts.
Liverpool’s own “kids that pop your cotton socks off”, Trudy and The Romance, bring their own bluesy psyche-rock sound to the party with fascinating 50s edge. We’ve had the pleasure of featuring them on our 22tracks playlist in the past, and things have since only got better for the “rough-edged hopeless romantics”.
Welsh four-piece Tibet have a new EP have a new EP coming out next month through our friends at Alcopop! Records, and the great and the good have already started hailing them as “a band ready to break“. And with a sound that feels like The Kinks somehow found themselves leading a raucous 90s Britpop revival, you can only agree.
