Multi-instrumentalist odd-pop producer Andrew Applepie is here to guide us into the weekend with the lo-fi jam Fantasy Prison.
The track is atmospheric and experiments with jazz, r’n’b, electronica and everything in between, all the while keeping to a low, grinding beat to tell the story.
As Applepie explains:
“Fantasy Prison is a song about the complicated relationship of art and it’s monetization aspect as portrayed by the sad robot in the time synced stop motion video accompanying the song. It takes you through different atmospheres as the robot and his friends journey through different landscapes amiably crafted with attention to detail leading up to a mean drop and thunderstorm. And of course it ends on a romantic note <3"
