Regular mixes are here to stay at TBW, and as you have come to expect we’ve more more eclectic sounds to treat your ears with the latest edition of What’s Good.
This week’s mix has been made with support from the fine folks at Mainline Menswear and Original Penguin, who have come together for the music and are currently running a competition for the #PluggedIn60 party at Dingwalls with Sigma and Dornik, where one lucky winner will get a pair of tickets to the show and £150 towards travel costs for the night.
Onto the music…
We start thing off slowly with the stripped back and soft sounds of Cloves, who is quickly becoming one of my favourite female artists of the 2015 with just three tracks to her name.
Mt. Wolf treat us to more serene sounds with the bleak and beautiful Hex, with Brooklyn’s own Wales and the ever impressive Aquilo continuing the blissfully relaxed tone.
Tender‘s Melt is the slow groove you’ve always needed in your life, effortlessly sliding you towards Freddie Joachim‘s funky Drowning Myself.
Walrus favourite D/R/U/G/S is back with some his best best work yet in the ebb-and-flow, loose-yourself house of Cheap Hearts, and that house groove keeps pumping in Isaac Tichauer‘s remix of RÜFÜS‘ Like An Animal.
MakeLove are producing perfect dancefloor grooves on the regular right now, and Dive In continues that streak of form, and now we’ve got the blood rushing the combination of Wing Tip‘s driving Socio and Vimes‘ thumping Kyra should have you ready for anything.
