Digitalism will always have a special place in my soul due to them soundtracking an impromptu protest silent disco one December a few years back, but after the massive success of tracks such as Pogo and Zdarlight they’re back in town.
There’s only two new tracks on offer here – Blitz and Stratosphere. Blitz is exactly what you expect from the two Germans, with enough synthy Daft Punkness to let everyone know where they’ve come from, and Stratosphere is a more laid back affair, with a groove running slightly behind the beat. As good as each song is though, I do feel myself missing a vocal melody or for the boys to up the noise assault a little.
As for the remixes, Villa vs Popy add a few trancey tweaks, but Harvard Bass up the tempo, throws in some house sounds and makes me want to hit the dancefloor. Hard.
