Acid Glasses open their debut track My Pale Garden with a soft, crackling, blissed-out summer vibe, before the almost child-like sing-along chorus breaks down. It just falls apart within your ears, jerking your daydreaming body to attention for the approaching nightmare. But then it sinks back into the summery illusion from whence it came. It’s a bizarre take on pop that lurches between realities, a dream sequence that you cannot control but makes you want need more.
