One of the marks of a genuinely great album is that it still has a massive impact a year after it’s been released. It’s not quite a year since the mighty Tellison [Twitter/Facebook] returned with their long-overdue second album The Wages of Fear, but it’s getting close to it, and we’re happy to report that that album is still doing it for us. They have been writing new songs – we won’t have to wait another three years for the third album at this rate! Success! – but have also found the time to spruce up an old one. Freud Links the Teeth and the Heart, one of the highlights off Wages, got the ‘single version’ treatment, and is going to be released in physical form, as well as digital, on May 28th, as the final single from the album. The new version is certainly busier-sounding than its album counterpart, but in our opinion a great song has been made even better. There is, naturally, a dentist-visit-themed video to go along with it, which you can check out below. The band also have a quick jaunt around the UK planned for next month, and this is what their itinerary looks like. You should go see them, because we’ve heard lots of good things about their live show. They’re even better than they are on record, supposedly – that’s reason enough to pop along.
