Sometimes I’m wrong in dismissing a new artist that is getting a lot of hype, and Jessie Ware (twitter) is just such an example. The first couple of tracks I heard were good, but I wasn’t blown away – but here more recent output has been pretty near perfect pop so I shall ignore no more.
With her debut album Devotion due for release on 20th August on PMR Records, her next single will be the deliciously pop record that is Wildest Moments (stream below). It’s full of 80s glamour and depth, and a little less electronic than her previous material like the similarly impressive What You Won’t Do For Love.

I saw her live at Eurosonic and was mega disappointed. She was playing with a live band for the first time. Silly. I’ve loved everything she’s done since, that Disclosure remix is insane.
That’s a shame Niall, I’ve heard a couple of people saying they loved her performance there… I’ve not managed to catch her live yet myself though. Reserving judgement for the time being I think.
