If you’re struggling to get through the week and having a woeful Wednesday, don’t worry; what we have here is a perfect pick-me-up, and it comes in the form of the summery, chilled-out sound of Dublin-based quartet Kodaline [Twitter/Facebook]. They have a self-titled EP coming out on September 10th; you just got about seven weeks’ notice, now you have no excuse. Two of the songs from the EP have been unveiled. There’s a free download of an excellent song called Pray for your delectation below, and Lose Your Mind is available in both aural and visual form. The clip for the song, which reminds us a little of when The Verve were still good and hadn’t dumped on their legacy with the mostly woeful Forth, is the first one for the EP itself. We could be looking at as many as four (or even more) videos in total, so you’d do well to have these guys on your radar, especially if you’re fond of zoning out to psychedelic melodies. We like a bit of that ourselves; suffice to say, we’re all over this.
