If, like Arthur Dent in The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy, you could never get the hang of Thursdays, here is some manic punk energy to give your evening a much-needed punch in the face. Don’t Know lasts for a more 83 seconds, has two verses, one bridge and a final verse, and barrels along at a breakneck pace: allow us to introduce you to Her Parents [Twitter/Facebook], a band featuring current and ex-members of Dananananaykroyd, Stairs to Korea and Internet Forever, who, with their debut single, have heralded the arrival of what will most likely be one of the most riotous albums of the year. It’s out, in, er, two-and-a-half weeks. Yep. Physical Release is out on G.G Pith on August 20th (it’s only being released digitally – see what they did?), and if its lead single – abrasive, powerful and with a set of hilarious lyrics (‘Once upon a time, a million years ago, I was drinking on a plane; I asked the pilot, ‘What do all these buttons do?’ / He said, ‘I don’t know, I don’t fucking know’) – is anything to go by, it’s going to be quite a lot of fun.
