We’ve featured electronic duo Strange Boy a few times already over the last couple of months, and now we’re privileged to share with you their wondrous debut EP ‘Annunciation‘.
The record opens with title track, ‘Annunciation‘, a mesmerising two-note electronica that soars with singer Kieran Brunt’s rich vocals.
‘Love Is The Night‘ is more off-kilter, with Brunt in introspective, impassioned schizophrenic conversation with himself above the twinkles of soft piano and destructive stabs of broken noise. Another reflective track follows, with ‘I Won’t Say Those Things’, which is a soft and subtle lullaby inspired by overhearing a rowdy argument in a pub in the North West.
Closing the record in electronic grandeur is ‘Corbusier‘, with Brunt’s luxurious vocals and Matt Huxley’s inventive soundscape transporting you to a futuristic digital world full of possibilities and promise.
Catch the band live at their upcoming show at Thousand Island on 28th November.
